CDP Conference

About 60 people attended the annual WA CDP State Conference in Perth two weeks ago. At the meeting Saltshakers spoke of the need for churches to remain faithful in the preaching of the gospel. Rev Fred Nile and wife Elaine also spoke about the need to study scripture in determining how to approach issues.

CDP hosts South African MP

The Christian Democratic Party of Western Australia is hosting a free public meeting with guest speaker Steve Swart, member of the South African Parliament. Mr Swart is a member of the South African Christian Democratic Party, an attorney, a staunch defender of family values and Christian Civilisation. Jesus All about Life

Churches are asked to take part in Jesus All about Life. The WA campaign is run from the end of September through to October 2009 and is part of an international campaign which aims to promote the Christian faith, to tell of Jesus across the entire WA State and to teach people what is contained in scripture. CDP changes

Gerard Goiran, long-serving WA director of the Christian Democratic Party, has resigned. Mr Goiran has worked tirelessly and with tenacity for the past 15 years in this Ministry alongside his wife Madeleine. The position is being filled by WA President Ray Moran. The CDP has also moved offices thanks to a generous supporter. The new address is 64 Canning Hwy, Victoria Park.

Freo by-election

Jullie Hollett is standing for the Christian Democratic Party in this Fremantle by-election for State Parliament to be held May 16, which comes on the retirement of Jim McGinty.

Office space

The CDP in WA is looking for more “mission partners” who can provide financial support or other support. The CDP is also looking for office space, about 60sq m, which is subsidised by supporters, or possibly free somewhere in the Perth metro area.
